Ace Rental Cars New Zealand believes in vehicle hire without any surprises. Please read these insurance details and terms and conditions carefully before you book.

When hiring a car from Ace you will need:

• a valid credit card for security
• a full and valid drivers licence
• to be 18 years or older

You will also need to adhere to our terms of hire which you can read here.

All rates on this website are in New Zealand dollars and are based on locations, availability and duration of hire. Any change in the dates or locations of your hire will likely result in a different rate being applied. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Please note: The toll road charges for the motorway between Orewa and Puhoi is paid by Ace Rental Cars. Please do not pay this toll.

Online Bookings and Internet Security »

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Other Insurances »

All of our cars have full, standard insurance cover included in the daily rate. It is subject to an excess of NZ$1,000 including local taxes for drivers aged 25 and over (windscreen insurance is not included). For drivers aged 21 to 24 the excess is $1,500 including taxes. Also, for single vehicle accidents the excess is $2,500.

Insurance Bond »

Either a credit card imprint or cash to the same value of the highest insurance excess is required. If an Ace Rental Cars insurance option has not been selected a bond will be authorised on the hirers credit card.
